« Our 4 day « escape » from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi was a great success indeed. This was largely due to meeting Orny, Cindy and Jean-Pierre, and reservingMyHome-Thailand Holiday Villa. Our reservation was handled very efficiently and Orny and JP gave us lots of useful advice about planning our visit. Our stay at MyHome-Thailand was very comfortable and Orny provided us with a lovely breakfast each morning.

The highlight of our stay was the original very instructive « One day living with the elephants program » that K.T.T organized for us. This was a great family day and lots of fun. We never thought we would ride an elephant with no seat, sitting on the elephant’s head. Bathing with the elephants was great fun also.

Also, as we rented a car and drove up from Bangkok, the house is in a good location for Kanchanaburi. It also provides many attractions, as well as secure parking. We were first of all taken from Bangkok international airport to Kanchanaburi by air-conditioned private minibus in a transfer pre-arranged by Orny and JP. We were glad that we travelled that way : the minibus was comfortable, the driver friendly and safe and the managing director of KTT bus division Mister CHIN was there at the airport waiting for us. Travelling that way from Bangkok is a hassle free way of getting to the Prueksakane 3 Village in Kanchanaburi since the driver knows perfectly well where to go. It also saves a lot of hassle negociating and driving through Bangkok traffic by taxis after a long tiring flight.

On arrival at the village, MyHome-Thailand owners Orny and JP personally welcomed us at their personal house in which they live all year round before taking us to our villa a few hundred meters away. Incredible hospitality in stunning surroundings : we were really impressed. Just sitting on the terrace of the villa and taking in the sights and sounds of Prueksakane 3 residential village for once made us feel like we were actually there to relax and enjoy our stay in real Thailand, among Thai residents who also live there all year round »

«  My wife and I stayed at Myhome-Thailand-Kanchanaburi in mid August 2010. It is a lovely Thai home, not a mile away from the heart of town. This spacious 4 bedroom villa is located in the Prueksakane gated community. We kind of stumbled upon this charming place as we found out about it personally through the co- owners Jean-Pierre (JP) and Orny whom we met during our first day in Kanchanaburi while attending a K.T.T. Tour called « Living with Elephants Experience » at Muang Singh River Kwai Elephant Village.

Orny and JP proved incredibly resourceful friends to have as they are both fluent in Thai, English and French. They are also very knowledgeable in Kanchanaburi’s historic sites, tourism and eco-tourism.. By the end of our amazing day with the elephants, we were so impressed with the overall kindness and service we received that we immediately decided to stay at Myhome-Thailand holiday villa, instead of staying in a traditional hotel or a conventional guest-house. JP, his wife Orny, and their charming little daughter Cindy together run this family owned business that provide all you’ll ever need for a care free vacation.. I’d actually consider the villa more of a B & B as every morning, Orny and Cindy personally come over to make you generous breakfast.. They live a mere block away so anything you may need, they are right there to help you.. They even did a load of laundry for us!! Also, the community has a restaurant that delivers, a large communal swimming pool, fitness center, and aerobics classes. They also have three bikes at the villa for guests to use on a free of charge basis. We spent a day on the town and we had a blast!! The Bridge over the River Kwai is only 10 minutes by bike and the rest of the town is yours to explore. We thought that the price would be way too high for a four bedroom house, however they rent it out by room (dont worry, it is not a guest house, your party will be the only occupants)… I’d also recommend checking out the K.T.T. tour program, as the tours are absolutely top notch!! We only did the Elephant program this time, although if we would have had anymore time, we definitely would have done the fishing program as well as the original rice and orchids, or tea, mulberries and dry flowers Agrotours. »
